Karen Bortvedt

Karen enjoys writing, working on her podcast (Wish You Knew), doing yoga, and meditating whenever she can make the time. She is recently married to a great guy named Pedro and has two lovely stepsons. She works full-time for Maryknoll Lay Missioners as the Relationship Manager with a focus on promoting the role of laity in mission in the US Catholic Church – basically she gets paid to travel, make friends, and help people discerning their call to serve internationally. Her home is wherever she happens to be at that time, but large parts of her heart reside in Maryland, Oregon, Washington, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Cambodia.
